Today I attended the Connecticut Juvenile Justice Adivosry Committee's Children, Youth, & Police Conference. It focused on sexting, cyberbullying, and the importance of laughter. Looking forward to sharing a number of great resources with you all soon.

What are Developmental Assets?
Over the years, researchers from the Search Institute in Minneapolis have identified 40 developmental assets that pack tremendous power for youth, important things like support, empowerment, constructive use of time, and positive values.
Think of them as “building blocks” for healthy growth, many of which young people experience through their positive relationships with adults. The more developmental assets young people tell us they experience, the more good choices they make—and the fewer risky activities they engage in.
