MHS Parents Needed

(Was asked to pass this email along)

Hello All:

I have been asked to formulate a list of parents who might be interested in meeting with the MHS NEASC Accreditation Review Board on Sunday, October 30th at 1:00 pm. The review board would like to meet with a group of 40 parents in two separate groups to discuss their views and perceptions of MHS. They have a list of prepared questions covering curriculum, community relations, school climate, student teacher ratio, communication, physical infrastructure etc. This is an opportunity to provide constructive feedback/criticism to the review board which will make its recommendation/findings to the BOE. MHS must then respond to to the recommendations within a timely manner to maintain its accreditation.

Attached is a letter describing the format for the day. I do not know the second meeting date at this time. It will likely be within days after the first meeting.

I am extending this invitation to you because I know many of you are involved at MHS and care deeply about its future. You have a knowledge base to work from and you will be fair in your judgement. The school would like to include a diverse group of MHS parents/guardians on the review panel. If you know of people who might be interested in serving on the panel, please forward them this email message. Interested parents/guardians should contact me (lschuerholz-winters@maect.org) and Andre Alphonso at alphonsoa@mpsct.org

Thank you for your consideration.
